Perron is an Illinois State licensed teacher, and is the Educator of Athletics, Technology, and Bicycle Repair/Maintenance at Altus Academy.  He brings to the position 10 years of experience in both public and private school settings, working with general and special education populations.

Perron earned his BA in Psychology at Hampton University in Hampton, VA, then went on to earn his MAT in Elementary Education at National-Louis University in Chicago.  His overall philosophy in education is that all children are intelligent and capable of learning and achieving — though those ways may be quite unique to each child — and that learning should develop continuously throughout one’s lifetime.  His philosophy in life is that people are partners with the other living things on Planet Earth, that the individual is defined by his or her actions, and that the more good one does, the better place the world will be because those actions.

 

Perron is a husband and father of two sons, an avid cyclist and collector of vintage bicycles, and an aficionado of music of all types.  He also  loves to travel and participate in the experiences of many cultures around the country and the world through travel and social media.
