  • The cost to educate a student at Altus Academy is about $12,000 per student per year. Altus covers this cost so that students can attend tuition-free. Parents are still encouraged to contribute with what they can when they can.

  • Classes start at 8am and end at 3pm

  • Altus goes through a rigorous process each year to ensure that our curriculum helps every student succeed academically

  • At Altus every child gets the support they need to succeed academically. If your child needs extra help we have tutors that work one on one with them.

    Altus also cares about every child’s emotional well being. We have a counselor at the school that every child can go to if they need someone to talk to.

Altus Academy is a private, independent, nonprofit, elementary school that provides a tuition-free college preparatory education for families. We aim to serve students from historical minority groups, low-income households, first-generation college graduate households, and some of the most challenging neighborhoods and communities in the Chicago area.
